Studio: Page settings

A page's icon (line icons, emoji or your own picture), subtitle, web address, search-engine text, Home page and Duplicate.

What's in this video

  1. Every page has its own settings: its icon, a subtitle, its web address, and how it shows up in search engines. To open them, click Icon and page settings, under the page name at the top.
  2. The page settings open on the right, where the Inspector usually is.
  3. First, the icon. It's shown next to the page title, and next to the page in your team's menu. Click Choose an icon.
  4. There are two kinds. Line icons are simple and clean, and suit a business app well.
  5. Emoji are more colourful, if that suits your team better.
  6. And Upload your own lets you use any picture, such as your company logo. A small, square picture works best.
  7. For this page, let's go back to Line icons, and choose the clipboard, for jobs.
  8. Next, the subtitle: a short line shown under the page title, so everyone knows what the page is for.
  9. Path is the end of the page's web address. Keep it short, in small letters, with dashes between words.
  10. SEO title and Meta description are what search engines show. They only matter for pages anyone on the internet can find. For pages your team signs in to, you can leave them empty.
  11. Set as Home makes this the page people land on when they open the app.
  12. And Duplicate Page makes a copy of the page with all its blocks. It's a quick way to start a page that's similar to one you already have.
  13. Everything saves as you go, and the new icon is already beside the page title. Your team sees the icon, the subtitle, and the icon in their menu once you publish. Click Close when you're done.
