Stock: parts used on jobs and My van
On the phone: My van, using parts on a job and when closing it, the cost on the job and its asset, and what To check is for.
What's in this video
- On the phone, engineers can see exactly what's in their own van. Tap Menu, then Stock, and then My van.
- Here's everything in Owen's van, Van 3, and how many are left. Search to find a part quickly.
- Used one on a job? Tap Use on a job. Your own jobs come first. Choose the job, set how many, and tap Use on this job.
- It comes off the van, and goes onto that job's costs. Return to store sends parts back to a store instead.
- You can also add parts on the job itself. Open Work Orders, and tap the job.
- Under Parts used, tap Use parts. Choose where they came from: your van, or a store.
- Find the part, and set how many. Two compression elbows. Then tap Add to job.
- Took one too many? Give back puts parts back in your van, or a store.
- Most of the time, though, you'll record parts as you close the job. Tap Close, and fill it in as usual: what you found, and what you did.
- Then Parts used. Add anything you took from your van or a store, or leave it empty if you used none. Here, a roll of PTFE tape, and a fuse.
- Tap Complete job. With no signal, the parts are sent with the job as soon as you're back online.
- There were no fuses in Van 3, so that one couldn't come off stock there. The job still closes. Nothing is refused: it waits for a manager to check.
- Now the office. Here's the staff room job, opened by Hannah. Parts used shows each part with its cost at the average price, and the total, Parts from stock.
- That total goes onto the job's Cost Lines by itself. And when a job is on an asset, every part is kept against it. In Stock, History shows the boiler job's parts went on Boiler 1.
- The fuse is under Stock, To check. Choose where it really came from, and tap Take from there. Or dismiss it, with a note saying why.
- So parts come off stock as your team works, and every job carries its own cost.
