Blocks: Weekly Rota
Who's working when, and where: a week or month of shifts for each person.
What's in this video
- The Weekly Rota shows who's working when: one row for each person, one column for each day. It reads from a list of shifts, such as the one the Workforce Scheduling kit adds. Search for Rota and click Weekly Rota.
- Name it, and choose the list of shifts under Data source.
- Now tell it which column is which. Staff column: who the shift is for. Choose Staff.
- Date column: the day of the shift. Choose Date.
- Start time column and End time column: when the shift begins and ends.
- Location column is optional. Choose Work location, and each shift shows where the person is working that day.
- View: a week at a time, or a whole month.
- Add shift goes to: the page the Add shift button opens. Choose the Add shift form. And plus more goes to: where to go when a day has more than one shift. Choose the Shifts page.
- Click Preview.
- Here's the week, with each person's shifts, times and places. Use the arrows to move between weeks.
- If a shift list is set to Assigned to me in Database Hub, each person only sees their own shifts here, while managers still see everyone.
