Blocks: Status Board
Rows as cards in a column for each status, and dragging a card to change its status.
What's in this video
- A Status Board shows rows as cards in columns, one column for each status, like a board on the office wall. Search for Status Board and click it.
- Name it, and choose the list under Data source. Let's use the Leave list, holiday and sick days.
- Status field decides the columns. Choose Status. There's a column for each status.
- Card title field is the words on each card. Choose Staff, so each card shows who the request is for.
- Make it wide enough for all the columns, then click Preview.
- Each request is a card in the column for its status: what's been requested, and what's been approved.
- To change a status, drag the card to another column. A manager approves a request by dragging it to Approved.
- The change is saved straight away. A board works the same on any list with a status, such as sales leads or deliveries.
- One exception: on a jobs list, cards can't be dragged. A job's status only changes with its Start and Close buttons, so its safety check can never be skipped.
