Blocks: Action Form
A form that adds a new row to a list, with the boxes you choose, in the order you choose.
What's in this video
- An Action Form lets people add a new row to a list, by filling in a simple form: a new job, a fault report, a leave request. Search for Action Form and click it.
- Name it, and choose the list the form adds to. Let's make a leave request form: choose Leave.
- Columns decides which boxes the form asks for. To start with, it shows the first six columns of the list.
- Staff shouldn't set the status of their own request. A manager does that. So click Remove next to Status.
- Use Up and Down to change the order of the boxes. Untick boxes you don't need, and tick others to add them.
- Make it taller, so every box fits, and click Preview.
- Here's the form. Staff is a list to pick from, because it's linked to the Staff list. Choose a person, type the kind of leave, and the dates.
- Click Submit, and the request is added to the Leave list, waiting for a manager to approve it.
