Setting up your booking page
Turn on a public booking link: choose where bookings go, your opening hours and appointment length, and put it on your website.
What's in this video
- Would you like customers to book appointments with you online? Anyone can use your booking page, even people who aren't your customers yet, and they don't need to sign in. In Governance, click Booking page.
- First, choose where bookings go. Each booking becomes a new row in this list. We've made a list called Appointments, with a date and time column, and columns for a name, email, phone number and a note.
- OmniSchema picks the matching columns for you. Check them, and change any that aren't right. Visitors can only ever fill in these boxes, nothing else in your list.
- Next, when people can book. Tick the days you're open, and set the hours. We'll open on Saturdays too.
- If you have a lunch break, click Add hours to give a day a second set of times.
- Then choose how long each appointment lasts, and how many bookings you can take at the same time. For example, two, if two engineers can go out at once.
- You can also choose how far ahead people can book, and how much notice you need, so nobody books a time that's about to start.
- Now give the page a heading and a short message for your visitors.
- Finally, switch on Open the booking page, and click Save.
- Here's your booking link. Copy it and send it to your customers, put it in your emails, or on your social media. Click Open to see the page.
- To put the booking page on your own website, copy this code, and paste it into a page on your site. Whoever looks after your website will know where it goes.
- And if a link ever ends up somewhere it shouldn't, click Make a new link. The old one stops working straight away. To stop bookings altogether, switch Open the booking page off, and save.
